When you see these things, Part 13 - 2014 So Far...

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." --Yeshua/Jesus [Luke 21:28].

So, 2014 has been quite a year. On Passover this year was the first of the four blood moons and the second of the four just occurred a few days ago on Sukkot. Many have tried to dismiss the blood moons as sensationalism or date-setting; however, the appearance of the blood moons has never been about setting dates. The point has always been that every time a blood moon happens to fall on a Jewish feast day, something big has always happened to Israel. The blood moons have nothing to do with the timing of the rapture, which can happen any time, though there is much evidence that it probably will occur some future year on Rosh Hashanah but that is another study altogether.

This year, a strange block was added to the Georgia Guidestones saying "2014." The first "commandment of the Guidestones is known for its call for a global population of only half a billion, a genocidal reduction from the present global population of over 7-billion (InfoWars).

We have again seen another rise of the Ebola virus, but instead of killing fast as it usually has done in the past, it has been lingering and has had the opportunity to spread as far as Macedonia where it killed a British man in his hotel room (RT News). This is also the first time the virus has crossed over onto American soil; the first victim diagnosed on American soil, Thomas Eric Duncan, died early August 8, 2014, which happened to be the morning of the second blood moon (Fox News). We have seen a dramatic rise in killer earthquakes (above 6.0) since the 1800s (chart), but remember, Christ also said there would be "famines and pestilences" (Matt. 24:6-8).

Economically, the day before the second blood moon and Duncan's death, the Dow lost 272 points, and the day after the second blood moon it lost over 300 points (Fox Business). This is also the year that that the Shemitah began, the third Shemitah year in a series of judgments against the United States. The Shemitah occurs every 7 years and is known as the sabbath of the land, when God commanded that the land lie fallow and rest; this was the reason that Israel was carried captive into Babylon for 70 years, because they neglected to observe the Shemitah for 490 years; they owed God 70 (Leviticus 26:34). Well, prophecy is pattern and God has been using the Shemitah year to warn America of His coming judgment and to turn back to Him in repentance; we are now approaching the third and final Shemitah Year before His judgment. The first Shemitah year was in September 2001 which posted an economic loss and a breach of the nation's security on the 9/11 terrorist attack. The second Shemitah year brought with it the 2008 economic crash. Now, the third Shemitah has begun alongside four blood moons on the Jewish Feast Days of Passover and Sukkot.

We cannot know for certain what will happen, but next year (2015) will be very interesting. Are we seeing the beginning of the end for the United States of America? As events in the Middle East unfold with the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS), the Psalm 83 War is getting closer. By the end of next year, we could very well see Israel standing as a major superpower after defeating their hostile neighbors. Yet we could also see the the fall of the United States. Are we seeing the beginning of something big which will culminate next year? We are living in prophetic times, indeed. Keep looking up!
