Statement of Faith

PRINTER FRIENDLY

Note:  This is simply what we believe in a nutshell.  We are a Nondenominational Institute, so we feel it is necessary to give an outline of what we believe.  With so many organizations running around claiming to be Christian, it is necessary for one to know what we believe, so they are not deceived into a false teaching.  We hope our website is a blessing to you!

1. We believe and, therefore, accept the Bible as the sole authority for all our doctrine, church policy, and rule of conduct.  We do not accept tradition, custom, or man's opinion if contrary to the plain, simple statement of the Word of God.  We are a Bible reading, Bible believing, Bible loving, Bible preaching, Bible teaching, Bible obeying people.  We must always point to a "Thus saith the Lord".

2. We believe in one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. Ephesians 4:5.

3. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21.

4. We believe in the Lordship of Jesus. Colossians 1:14-20.

5. We believe that each person must give account of himself to God. Romans 14:12.

6. We believe in the equality of all believers. Matthew 23:8-12.

7. We believe that for one to be saved he must repent of his sins and believe on the Lord Jesus with all of his heart. Ephesians 2:8-9; Luke 13:3; Acts 16:31; Acts 4:12.

8. We believe that a New Testament church is a body of baptized believers, equal in rank and privilege, administering its own affairs under the headship of Jesus Christ. Acts 5:14; Acts 2:41.

9. We believe in a regenerated church membership, in individualism and freedom of conscience, in the right of private judgment, in the independence of the local church, in an open Bible and freedom for all to live and witness for Christ. Matthew 3:5-8; Acts 1:21-26.

10. We believe in complete separation of church and state in all matters of civil government and finance. Matthew 22:21.

11. We believe that there are only two New Testament church ordinances - Baptism and the Lord's Supper.  Colossians 2:12; Romans 6:3-5; Matthew 3:13-17.

12. We believe that all Christians should be baptized; that baptism is the complete immersion of a believer in water, by the authority of the Church; that it is an act of obedience, but, in itself, has no saving power. Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12-13.

13. We believe that the Lord's Supper is only for baptized believers. The Lord's Supper is a memorial. It has no saving power. Jesus said, "This do in remembrance of me". Luke 22:19-20; I Corinthians 11:18-26.

14. We believe in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was given in His fullness on the Day of Pentecost to abide with the people of Christ Jesus forever. The Holy Spirit convicts, quickens, regenerates the heart, and guides the believer. Without the work of the Holy Spirit, the soul of man could not be saved and brought into right relationship with God the Father. It takes the work of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, the three in one, to save man from his sin and to give unto him eternal life. Romans 8:26; Acts 1:8; John 14:16-18.

15. We believe in the security of believers; that is to say, once saved, always saved. Romans 8:1; Romans 8:16-17; John 5:24; John 10:28-29.
